Dear Carol,
I'm still at a bit of a loss for words regarding how I felt returning from the SpeakUp conference in Michigan. Overwhelmed by the love of God about says it the most accurately. I had the absolute time of my life there, and made friends that I hope to cherish for a long time. Your team was so amazingly sweet and gracious. I'm still processing everything I learned and cannot thank you enough. I should tell you that in my excitement and true to my sanguine nature - I returned in time for a church voters meeting and well... I kind of invited my whole church to come next time. (Laugh)I do at the very least intend on bringing several of our mission team as well as my husband next year, and we cannot wait. Thank you again for an amazing week - God is truly great. Love Deana

I was a delegate at the Beauty for Ashes Conference in Johannesburg,South Africa. Before the conference, I had been feeling quite insecure about the happenings in our beautiful country. Your presence and talks reminded me of the FACT that Father's comfort and faithfulness is real and I drew closer to Him. Thank you for coming so far to reinforce my inner self belief of His constant and lavish love towards me. You're a precious woman of God!

Thank you for the gift of sharing your story. My girlfriend Dawna met you at the Cannon Beach, OR conference. My friend then shared your two books (As I Lay my Isaac Down and A New Kind of Normal) I have read and cherished both of these gifts from my dear friend Dawna. I have now shared your books with my husband. Carol--you have us hope.

Carol, I can't find the words to describe how your ministry and your story has touched my life during your ministry at the Beauty for Ashes Ladies Conference here in South Africa on 16 & 17 May 2008!! God is using you and your family's story in a MIGHTY way!! Thank you for sharing your pain and struggles with us, it meant a lot to me. Reading your book "When I lay My Isaac Down" touched me deeply and is one of those books that made me cry. So many of my questions and issues regarding my suffering was answered through your ministry and reading your book. May you and your family be blessed and please keep up the wonderful work you are doing!!

Dear Carol
Thank you for your precious time shared with us in South Africa.We are blessed but more than that, how blessed you are to have such an awesome anointing from our God "how great is our God" and even though our hearts ache for you and your precious family, we rejoice because we have no doubt that you can hold your head up and be so very proud of your son. How wonderful that in spite of his circumstances he is bold enough to stand for Jesus. Clearly he is not ashamed of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. To see the peace and joy in his eyes just confirms that God is with him and using him mightily just where he is now. Yes indeed we do serve a God of miracles, and a God of hope. I thank God that your precious son is the shining light in a place that would otherwise be dark and lonely. How wonderful that God in His wisdom would fulfill His purpose through your Son. We all have the same purpose, to spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth, and how often do we consider those little mission fields such as the one your son finds himself that are never reached. Praise God for your precious boy child and more than that, your ability to gracefully lay down your “Isaac” I love you sister and am richer for meeting with you. PS “don’t stop dancing for Jesus, you did a mighty fine dance in South Africa”
